Study visit to Montenegro by Prof. Vassilis Tselentis and Training during TYHA assessors visit for G

Study visit to Bar and Kotor - Montenegro, from 27th March to 30th March 2017 was realized by the project member (researcher) from University of Piraeus, Prof. Dr. Vassilis Tselentis. The theme of the visit was “Study visit to Montenegro by Prof. Vassilis Tselentis and Training during TYHA assessors visit to AD Marina Bar regarding Gold Anchor Scheme certification of the AD Marina”.


Generally, a study visit which has been done by Prof. Tselentis aims to provide participation by Prof. Vassilis Tselentis during assessment (TYHA assessors visit) of the AD Marina Bar with regards to Gold Anchor Scheme as follows:

  • Support to project team during assessment

  • Support AD Marina Bar staff and management during assessment

Elaborate some important things of the Gold Anchor Scheme and monitoring processes which have been done in AD Marina Bar


The certification process of Gold Anchor Scheme to the AD Marina through SUST-MARINA project requested the following activities by SUST-MARINA project team:

- support to AD Marina management and staff during TYHA assessors visit,

- passive and active participation in some activities during TYHA assessors visit,

- promotion project activities during TYHA assessors visit.

Also, during study visit various measurements have been continued and some guest lectures to the students at Maritime Faculty and marina staff will be organized. In addition, through various parts of measurements in AD Marina Bar with special equipment from University of Piraeus have been given to the analysis of measurement of water quality, noise, conductivity of water area etc. with regards to the obtained results. Also, the intention has been to give the instructions to marina staff about the preparation activities with regards to Gold Anchor scheme certification and continued work to ISO implementation for the local eco-systems in marina surrounding area. The special guest lecture of the mentioned measurement results has been provided for the undergraduate and graduate students from Maritime Faculty and AD Marina Bar staff and managements.
