SECOND PART OF XXII INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE MHCL 2017 WITHIN ORGANIZATION BY SUST-MARINA PEROJECT H

The second part of XXII International Conference MHCL 2017 (Material Handling,Construction and Logistics), which is held every two years in Vienna and Belgrade within the organization of Institute for Logisitcs of Technical University from Vienna and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, has been held from 16th – 18th November 2017 in Bar, and organized by SUST-MARINA Project (APPLYING AND PROMOTING THE CONCEPT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT TO AD MARINA BAR). This international event was mostly related to AD Marina Bar which is the research object of SUST-MARINA Project. Therefore, AD Marina Bar and HERIC-INVO office from Podgorica (Ministry of Science and Ministry of Education in Montenegro Government) have supported the organization of this international event. The program of second part of International Conference MHCL 2017 - Maritime and Port Logistics (http://sust-marina.wixsite.com/marina/) THE SECOND PART OF THE SPECIAL SESSION E – MARITIME AND PORT LOGISTIC OF THE XXII INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE MATERIAL HANDLING CONSTRUCTION AND LOGISTICS consisted of:

1. Presentation and analysis of achieved results through SUST-MARINA Project with special focus on AD Marina Bar certification which became first Blue Flag marina in Montenegro, the first business system from maritime industry certified by TUV Rheinland for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015(QMS & EMS), and currently certified for Gold Anchor Scheme by TYHA.

2. Presentation of the major number of total 24 scientific papers that are published in Proceeding of Second part of the MHCL Conference. The papers are written by authors from eight universities all over the world (Technical University of Denmark, TongMyong University South Korea, University of Piraeus, National Technical University of Athens, University of Aegean, University of Rijeka, University of Belgrade and University of Montenegro). These papers have been presented by distinguished professors in the field of Maritime and Port Logistics such as Prof. Dr. Stratos Papadimitriou, Prof. Dr. Nikitas Nikitakos, Prof. Dr. Vassilis Tselentis, Prof. Dr. Nenad Zrnić and others. Also as a special guest, on the conference have been present Dr. Thalis Zis who graduated his doctoral thesis on Imperial College London in the field of Maritime and Port Logistics in class of Prof. Dr. Michael Bell.

3. For the first time on an international conference, there have been presented business systems regarding maritime industry (regional countries Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro) with presentation of leading persons from those business system, for FLOATEX Italy and Limit Plus Slovenia, as well as managers of particular sectors from AD Marina Bar, Port of Bar, Port of Adria, Port of Kotor, Marina Trogir, and others. This session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Vasilis Tselentis i Doc. Dr. Radovan Orlandić.

4. Organization and realization of special round tables in the field of Maritime and Port Logistics (Sustainable Development) where the mediators were professors from previously mentioned universities and panelist were other participants of the conference. During this roundtables it was allowed the direct involvement of auditorium in discussions which covered various topics from the field of Maritime and Port Logistics (Sustainable Development). Prof. Dr. Branislav Dragović has organized and chaired the first round table under the title , as well as opening ceremony of the conference together with Prof. Dr. Stratos Papadimitriou, while the second roundtable was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nikitas Nikitakos. Third round table was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nenad Zrnić and Dr. Thalis Zis, while the introductory presentation of this roundtable under the title Monitoring and Measurement Activities in Marina Bar from the aspect of sustainable development has been given by Prof. Dr. Vassilis Tselentis.

5. Directly realized contacts of the auditorium with respectable professors from the aforementioned universities, managers from the mentioned business systems and other participants of the conference.

Proceedings of the second part of the international MHCL 2017 conference with 24 previously reviewed scientific papers in the printed edition and on CD are divided into over 300 copies with very extensive supporting material. Editors of this part of the Proceedings of the international conference MHCL 2017 are Prof. Dr. Branislav Dragović and Prof. Dr. Stratos Papadimitriou.

This unique scientific-research event (The second part of the international conference MHCL 2017) was opened by the Director of the INVO project and Director of the Ministry of Science in the Government of Montenegro dr Darko Petrusic, who directly participated in the third session at the conference with comments and questions. He particularly highlighted the achieved results through the SUST-MARINA project, stressing that it was accomplished and achieved much more than it was intended to be realized through 12 work packages. Head of SUST-MARINA project, prof. Branislav Dragović congratulated the director of the INVO project, Dr. Darko Petrusic and other members of the working team of the INVO project on the results achieved through the SUST-MARINA project in front of the entire auditorium.

During the conference, there were organized the visits to AD Marina Bar, Luka Bar and Port of Adria from the aspect of linking research at universities and real problems of the maritime economy, as well as visits to the old town of Bar and the old olive from the aspect of tourist promotion of Montenegrin cultural and tourist potentials.

The organization of the special session of Maritime and Port logistics at the international MHCL conference will continue in the near future, so we invite all interested parties to join us at the XXIII MHC conference, which will be organized in 2019 in Vienna.

The organizers and hosts of the second part of the international conference MHCL 2017 in Bar were prof. Branislav Dragović, manager of SUST-MARINA project and Dr. Radovan Orlandić, executive director of AD Marine Bar with their working teams.
