Study visit to Faculty of Technical Science University of Novi Sad for the improvement of Safety and Service has been realized. The study visit organized for the project member to visit Faculty of Technical Science University of Novi Sad. Together with assistants and professors from this Faculty, they have worked on the energy efficiency with regards to the background of the improvement of Safety and Services in recreational ports and marinas. The study visit was also include energy efficiency in AD Marina/Port of Novi Sad. Emergency plans in case of pollution fire and other accidents in marina has been further validate in special laboratory of this Faculty. The main aim of study is exchange of experience and knowledge regarding best practices in marinas and recreational port certifications, as well as consideration about Improvement of Safety and Services in marinas and recreational ports. The organization of meeting with Head of Department of Energy and Process Engineering and Department of Environmental Engineering and Occupational Safety and Health and staff of the Faculty of Technical Science with Project team have been realized. Study tour was organized with the approach to have presentation on main issues that are of interest of Project team members of SUST- MARINA project, discussions and visit of ports main points with practical explanations of implemented procedures for improvement of Safety and Services in recreational ports and marinas. The main issues that were discussed during Study visit to Faculty of Technical Science, University of Novi Sad were:
- Introduction on general information of marina/port of Novi Sad,
- implemented management standards and procedures,
- Introduction on general regulation on Safety and Services,
- Presentation on risk management procedures,
- Presentation on Environmental management standards,
- Discussion on signposted lifesaving,
- Discussion on first-aid and fire-fighting equipment,
- Practical demonstration of best management practices and fire-fighting equipment,
- Energy saving practices and management of waste,
- Management of emissions from boats/vessels in small ports,
- Demonstration of equipment for hazard occasions and
- Conclusion and recommendation.
