The training seminar entitled “Training seminar for the Improvement of Safety and Services in recreational ports and marinas” which has been held at Maritime Faculty in Kotor, in the Secondary School of Agriculture Bar and AD Marina Bar in Bar from 1st-2nd of September, 2016. A Lecturer/Professor of Shipping Trade and Transport Department of the University of Aegean, Prof. Dr. Nikitas Nikitakos held the Training seminar for the ‘Improvement of Safety and Services in recreational ports and marinas’.
This Training seminar for the “Improvement of Safety and Services in recreational ports and marinas” was defined in order to rationalization and efficiency of training activities. In this case, for all team members, AD Marina Bar management and staff will be provided the better understanding of the principles and benefits of the “Improvement of Safety and Services in recreational ports and marinas”.
Main topics of this training cover activity provided during Work Package 9 with regards to “Improvement of Safety and Services plan in recreational ports and marinas” which have served in the formulation of better operating procedures and the formulation of effective emergency plans. How to make it? How to use it? How to improve it? During this Seminar which has been organized the first day at Maritime Faculty of Kotor and the second day in the Secondary School of Agriculture Bar and AD Marina Bar, project team has provided high qualified lecturer (Prof. Dr. Nikitas Nikitakos, Aegean University) which has done the following:
- to animate some simulation procedure in marina about Safety and Services,
- to present the leading standards for Improvement of Safety and Services plan in recreational ports and marinas,
- to explain various exercises in marina,
- to provide new information about novel technologies about Safety and Services in marinas,
- to support SUST-MARINA project team to Development of Emergency Plans in case of pollution, fire or other accidents,
- to support SUST-MARINA project team to Establishing adequate and clearly signposted lifesaving, first-aid and fire-fighting equipment.
