Special Session of SUST-MARINA project - Maritime and Port Logistics – Operations Modeling and Susta

Project manager, Prof. Dr. Branislav Dragović and key researcher Professor Dr. Stratos Papadimitriou participated at XXI Triennial International Conference Material Handling, Constructions and Logistics (MHCL 2015) which been held in Wien (Austria), from 23th to 25th September and organized Special Session of SUST-MARINA project - Maritime and Port Logistics – Operations Modeling and Sustainable Development inside International Conference MHCL 2015. They presented three papers which also were published in Proceeding of Conference. All papers have been prepared through SUST-MARINA project by project team members and considered the following items: MONITORING OF WATER QUALITY AND NOISE LEVEL IN MARINA AND NAUTICAL PORTS: AN PRACTICAL APPROACH (Tselentis V, Dragović B, Coric A.), STUDY OF SUSTAINABLE MARINA DEVELOPMENT PERFORMANCE: ENVIRONMENTAL IMPLICATIONS (Dragović B, Papadimitriou S, Tzannatos E, Tselentis V.) and RO-RO AUTOMOBILE TERMINAL BULK OPERATIONS MODELING IN PORT (Meštrović R, Dragović B.).

During this MHCL 2015 Conference, special attention has been paid to the exchange of experience about Maritime and Port Logistics – Operations Modeling and Sustainable Development regarding marinas and nautical ports as they have developed throughout other regions in Europe, Asia, North America and the Mediterranean and it is believed that the researchers in the project had good opportunity to acquire new knowledge.
