The organization of Special Session entitled Sustainable Development in Maritime Transportation and Logistics of RaDMI 2015 was related to the disseminate the results regarding: certification in small ports and marinas; an approach to environmental monitoring in marina; marina sustainable development concept: status, trends and perspectives; current trends of certification programs for marinas; environmental management system and quality management for marina: an practical approach; and sustainable development of the AD Marina Bar, as well as a study of determination the inital number of berths in marina, and an practical approach to environmental monitoring in Marina Bar.
It has been a good opportunity for all partners’ institutions on the project including almost all project researchers to share ideas and directions for the further work packages’ activities. At the Special Session has been presented works during realization of the project packages. In addition, the detail analysis of recently provided equipment in accordance to the procurement plan of the project will be discussed. On the other hand, results of the analysis in AD Marina Bar achieved during the previous trainings will be presented and reported. The future steps for marina sustainability regarding ISO (EMS and QMS) and Blue flag programme were evaluated. The importance of the working activities regarding marina sustainability was described by Prof. Tselentis and Prof. Dragović as well as by other special guests.
