Roundtable of project team in AD Marina Bar with Prof. Dr. Efstratios Papadimitriou (project member)

The research team of the project organized a roundtable to AD Marina Bar on April 15th. Beside the presence of Prof. Dr. Efstratios Papadimitriou who is a project member, marina hosted also Prof. Dr. Ernestos Tzannatos (Dean of School of Maritime and Industrial Studies, University of Piraeus) who also attended the roundtable and gave a full support to the SUST-MARINA project team. The presence of Prof. Tzannatos was very important for the project team because he has a lot of experience as a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) and a Member of UK’s Engineering Council (CEng) and of the Technical Chamber of Greece.

The aim of roundtable was related to the discussion about the significance of energy efficiency in small ports and marinas regarding Blue Flag programme and ISO certification. The meeting was finished with the recommendations of the Prof. Papadimitriou and Prof. Tzannatos to marina staff to promote the environmental issues.
