Realization of workshop, educational program and training of SUST-MARINA project

Project team of SUST-MARINA has organized and realized the following activities on 9th April in Bar for undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and doctoral students of Maritime Faculty, the best pupils of Secondary School of Agriculture Bar (pupils from Nautical, Ship engineering and Logistics programs), team members and guests:
1. Short Lectures with regards to: AD Marina Bar, Sustainable development concept and its promotion and application in Montenegrin marina and nautical ports, Nautical tourism and Montenegro, National program of sea pollution and Integrative ISO (QMS and EMS) standards benefits for marinas and small ports. The presentations were held by MSc Tomislav Markolović, AD Marina Bar, team member; MSc Aleksandar Božović, Environmental protection Agency of Montenegro, team member; MSc Ksenija Rakočević, Maritime Safety Department of Montenegro and MSc Milena Bataković, Environmental protection Agency of Montenegro, team member.


2. Training of oil spill boom in AD Marina Bar aqatorium in front of Petrol fuel station with support of Hemosan doo and Petrol Crna Gora MNE doo specialists whose provided simulation activities. Director of EPA, Mr. Ervin Spahić, Project Manager for Research on behalf of HERIC project, Mr. Saša Ivanović have also took part during this training activities. After that, Prof. Dr. Branislav Dragović, Project Manager, presented marina’s subsystems and facilities, light power pedestals, fire fighting cabinets and so on. All attendees have visited Gate no. 5 in AD Marina Bar for which pedestals and cabinets have been installed through SUST-MARINA project.



3. Training at Hemosan Recycling Centre - the company for sanitary and environmental protection. Director of Hemosan doo, Mr. Zoran Nikitović has hosted students and team members and presented all the activities of his company with direct explanation of disposal of hazardous waste, oily wastes and emulsions, contaminated soil, oil filters, pharmaceutical, electric and electronic waste. It has been very good opportunity for students and team members to attend the training Hemosan Recycling Centre.


4. Visit to Ro-Ro automobile terminal in Port of Bar where host has been Mr. Veselin Pajović and Mr. Velimir Krgović. Students and team members have seen a layout of terminal, berths with all equipment, quay wall, Fiat 500L automobile at parking areas, special rail ramp for loading/unloading automobile at rail car and so on. All specific operations at this terminal have been demonstrated by Mr. Pajović and Prof. Dragović. After terminal visit, short roundtable has been organized in office of terminal manager and Kotor TV made specific reportage about that.
