Young researcher visited Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport in Portorož and marinas in Portor

Young researcher on the SUST-MARINA project, MSc Maja Škurić, visited Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport in Portorož and marinas in Portorož, Izola and Port of Koper from 13th to 16th March. The study visit included the following:

- First, very important visit to Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport in Portorož to see the laboratories at the same Faculty and work on nautical tourism concept in small ports and marinas.

The practical and educational issues represented the main goals of this study visit. Young researcher on the project took the opportunity to work on basic principles and methodology, such as: establishing objectives and processes that are required from marina staff; implementation of the process of certification in marina; measuring and monitoring the processes in marina; provide actions to improve performances of Environmental Management System in marina and preparation for continual improvement process in marina. We also underline that the best student from Maritime Faculty, Zdravko Paladin with young researcher MSc Maja Škurić took opportunity to visit Slovenian marinas.
